Came as part of a collection, holder only had '1815' written on it, anyone know any additional info on this medal or value? Thanks!

BELGIË, Koninkrijk der Nederland, AE medaille, 1815 Badge of schutters Brussel. Rechts: ECU bij St. Michael. Keerzijde: In een krans van eiken, BELGICI / Regni / HABENAS CAPESSENTE / Wilhelmo / NASSAVOEO / MDCCCXV. Ref. Dirks, 55 Afm 35mm.. Zeldzaam. Twee voorbeelden met en zonder vering gat.

Forgot to translate it: Both were sold for 180 euro together. but one with no hole so Probably yours is not more worth then 20-30 euro's I think.

Hello,

I think it has something to do with this history event below. But I am not sure.

The Battle of Waterloo was a battle at Waterloo, a town at that time located in the Southern Netherlands, now in Belgium. Napoleon Bonaparte was here on June 18, 1815 finally defeated by a combination of the British and Dutch, and on the other hand Hanoverian and Prussian armies led by the Duke of Wellington General Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, respectively.
