Nice roll-end coins are sort of a mixed blessing. On one hand, it's always thrilling to see good stuff before you even open it up. On the other, they'll almost always have Rolling Machine Damage. |

First off.........thanks for the nice responses.
DouglasFir, so far I have gone through over 50 boxes of nickels. I have found 30 buffalos so far. Believe it or not, this is my first notable ender.

Loco out of your 50 boxes of Nickels how many Proofs, and Silver Wars have you found. I am currently on box 14 and I have found 3 Proofs, I Canadian Proof, 8 War Nickels, 2 Buffaloes, and one V-Nickel. I am satisfied with my findings so far. Carlos |

Beware the wrath of the roller. Almost every awesome roll find I have found has been eaten by the roller.  |

I have a couple War Nickels that have the roller damage. I'd rather the nice coins be in the middle somewhere rather than the end of a roll. Like you Jack - to many nice coins that get the blood moving end up being scarred for life. |

Thanks Loco. I will keep at it then. I'm at box 14. I was going through 9 boxes last week. It was a little too much for me. Maybe I will bring it down to 8 ha. Thanks for that info. Gives me hope.
