Had this one for a while. This is a dirty grungy piece of crust. No corrosion...just straight up grime, and not the kind that is easily removed. Maybe I should try a long acetone soak?

No luster showing on the reverse, but there are pieces of cartwheel luster showing only in areas where the grunge subsides on the obverse. Interesting coin. I found this in my late fathers collection, and used it as an upgrade in my own.

I think I see wear. Both and the obverse and on the shield at the reverse. AU55 for me.

Not a pretty coin but I don't see any problems.
I think MS-63 is reasonable.

thanks for the comments. You all see the coin in a better light than I do. I dont really see obvious wear either, but the reverse has no luster...period. I am not sure if it is hidden because of the grunge or what....but I have a hard time seeing an IHC make MS with a completely lackluster reverse. There is enough luster peeking through at 2oclock and at 10oclock to make me think that it is at least a high grade coin that hasnt been harshly scrubbed or anything. Though I hesitate to give it a grade, as I'm just not sure.....as it sits I see it being worth no more than AU50 money. It still fits fine in my set though, that is currently vf30 minimum.
