I don't notice any trace of wear, full luster, even the rooster shows all details.
But, some ugly adjustment lines at the obverse and a major weak spot on the reverse...

How about VF-30. I'm not sure what it would get or not get if you sent it into a TPG, but the BoneDigger Grading Service never turns a coin away and would give this one a VF-30.

Take Care

Almost as struck. The weakness on the reverse seems to be from the high relief of the Emperor's head on the obverse. This is fitting actually, due to his inflated ego.
French SUP (or American AU-58)

BTW, Very nice coin! IMHO, the adjustment marks do not detract much. Looking at it some more, I still think most French dealers would NOT grade it FDC, since they are very conservative about assigning that grade. Maybe SUP+. However, NGC or PCGS might go up to MS-62 if the luster is unbroken.

Thanks for your opinions!
I am also tending to SUP, but not sure if I should put a - or a + behind.
It seems obvious that this coins has never circulated, but I am only wondering why someone would have put this one away while there were certainly examples without weakness and adjustment lines (BTW they are no wear, they have been apposed to the planchet before the coin was struck).

Aah, and very good explanation about the weakness at the reverse.
