Ok I posted this image in the modern variety section..but thought I would ask for help here.. Ok the original image I captured you could see the markings in the wings.. Looks like they were hand re engraved. But once I reduced the image for forum specs I lost the over all quality of the image.. And the re-engraved portions virtually disappeared..

Can't help you with your question,but is your white balance off? It looks very yellow.

I will read the manual and attempt to reset white balance
Edit: found what ya suggested!! I will see if I can rectify the problem on the next images I take thanks for the insight a virtual cold one to you! John 1

here is a couple more error/variety coins I just re-photographed..my camera had a filter on it..maybe this will help both of the images I think are decent and comparable to what I see people selling coins with on ebay
I ask this question can you see the doubling in the devices?

Reading some photography threads think the color is from taking pictures of the coin while its in the dansco bouncing that tan color back into the lens.. I checked my colors and its about as nuetral as it can be..this sound logical.. Ill image a coin out of the book

I can see doubling on the Kennedy in TRUST. Nice! But your white balance is definitely off. What setting are you using, and what type of lights?
