Are DDO / DDR morgans common? I have a 1878 8 feather with nice doubling on it.. Never seen this before and I guess I am curious thanks for opinions

There aren't many 8TF Morgans without some sort of doubling. You do realize we'll need to see pictures to narrow the choices down to a VAM.

Yes indeed!! When I get it home I will photo lab it.. The coin has some great doubling on the reverse including the eagles beak all outer lettering and stars. I think its super neat and a beautiful piece for showing easy to spot doubling.. Very fun coin!! Definitly a keeper for my "variety error" album!! I will update this thread with pictures.. My guess for now is VAM 22(a)(b) <~if I said that right! Thanks amigo for the info!!

Ok my friends fellow coin peoples!! I did my first " VAM" search and think my first "error" morgan? Is a worthy score!!

That's because the Top 100 is listed by year. It's a spectacular coin, but hundreds are known, including DMPL's. If you can make a 65, though....

Roger that Dave!! I'm still shocked.. It was a super cool find!! Very proud of it definitly a long time keeper!! I got pictures of it will repost in to the VAM thread area!! Honestly..until yesterday..i was VAM clueless!! The LCS has a 1878 PL 8 feather gorgeous coin 75.00 bucks kicking. It around.. But needless to say..this section helped me out tremendous!! VAM world website is awesome!! Boy oh boy coins coins coins! Jimminey sakes! I'm absolutely impressed and the amazing information wow!! So if I may..im a new member of the VAMily!! Hahaha sweet love this stuff! Coinmania!! I have never enjoyed a hobby more!

They've a genuine PL 8TF for $75? If you don't want it, snag it for me. I don't care if it's circulated, as long as it approaches genuine PL.
