Hi everyone. I am new to this board so I hope I am following all rules. I have this old coin and I can't find anything on it. It looks like it says HERCULE but that's all I can tell.

If anyone can tell me what it is, or even if it's real and what it can possibly be worth that would be great!

Thanks

Sorry but it isn't a coin, looks like some type of token of modern vintage.

It is not roman or greek. Probably something for the tourists? Can't make out what the back is supposed to be.

Ahh ok. Like I said I had no clue. First reaction was a coin because it was stored with other coins. The back of the coin is solid and just some kind of indent. Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately yes, it is fake. The ancients didnt have the letter you - wherever you'd see a U, it would be a V for them. so Claudius would be rendered as CLAVDIVS.

The indent might make it a button.
