2' Fer On 64 Proof Set

I bought a small/med. lot of coins last week and included
in the lot was this 64 proof set (no envelope)
Worked on the other coins and just put this set aside.

Just had a chance to look at it today. Nice ACH variety on the half
(easy 66 if not a 67) and also a pointed 9 on the dime. Not a bad find. Just wanted to share. Decided to keep the half and the dime in the cello and not break them out. Normally I break out any ACH variety half and sell it separately. Pics are not great especially because the coins are in the cello. I have found a few ACH's over the years in proof sets so I am very adept at attributing them very quickly and accurately. I may post it on here for sale/auction ?

Are the accented hair and pointed 9's usually found in the same set?

Wow!! your so lucky!! Think its why I had to get my pointed 9 dime from other than a proof set!! Thats a really cool find!! If ya think it needs a home....

I'm not sure, but I just checked another proof dime that I had
cut out of another proof set last year and that one also contained an ACH variety half and darn if that dime is also a pointed 9. H'mmm

Most of the coins that I buy are just occupants, not residents of my home
So I guess they do need a real home.

Yes they do. Quandry about pulling out the half and dime.
Seems though a better premium if left in the cello even if any good pic. is hard to get.

The cello can even tone the coins better if you are into that. I've seen a few nice lightly toned nickels in sets.

After closer inspection the dime in the set is not a pointed 9 one.
Looked it through the cello but as I moved it around in it, it showed
as a blunt. Also compared it to one that I do have.
