hi I'm Nathan I'm a new member so hopefully I got the post right as I've never used a forum I would like some help with the id please thanks in advance
I think on the front its says what I can make out regno to his florentino and on reverse I think the word is fortie which I'm told means strong in Italian the thing is I've looked through Italian coins never seen it
I really thought this one was going to kill me, until I realized that the two letters below the standing figures are H K, for the Nuremberg jeton (counting-token) maker Hans Krauwinkel. This jeton was made in the name of Henri III of France, hence the crowned French arms. Obverse legend: HIS. FLORENTIBUS. FLOREBIT. ET. REGN. Reverse: GALLIA FORTIT. http://www.cgb.fr/henri-iii-henri-i...02530,a.html http://finds.org.uk/database/artefa...rd/id/484404
