Pulled this out of a roll today. Looks more proof-ish than other quarters I've seen of this vintage. SMS or not, it's still a nice 1965, and a great upgrade from the '65 I currently have.

Very tough call.

It's better struck than 99% of '65 quarters but it's doesn't have the look. I'd guess it's a roll coin that didn't quite make the cut to send in for grading ten years ago when the roll price still wasn't very high.

It's been a few years since I've seen better in circulation.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
