Don't see a lot of Ikes on here, but I thought this one looked really nice, so I wanted to get an opinion on grade.

Yeah, just wanted to be sure. Not many Eisenhower dollars in the grading forum.

But for those who want to see them, we do have plenty to see.

By the way, yours looks great!

(Feel free to post it in the other thread... hint-hint)

As for a grade from photos, I will leave that to the regulars with more experience.

Awww c'mon jbuck! You're a local legend on these, you've gotta put some skin in the game here every once in a while.

For me, I don't even own ONE Ike so my stab in the dark at MS63 should bear little weight here. Unless I'm right of course... :)

Legend? Maybe.

Legendary grader? Uh, no.

I never fully grade my coins. I look at overall eye appeal (rubs, hits, dings, damage, etcetera), then stick to the basic scale (AG-G-VG-F-XF-AU-MS) when deciding on what I am going to pay. In the end, I am the one that has to be happy with it.

Grading on the Sheldon scale, especially the MS coins, is beyond my expertise or desire. I cannot tell 68 from 69 from 70, nor do I really care (mostly since I prefer to collect circulated coins and will never pay a premium for a graded coin).

So, that being said, I grade it MS.
