ok, I do not have my collection stored in any certain way, which is bad. I did not relize what I have until I looked through it.
thinking about a safe or gun cabinet.
how do most of you store your coins , suggestions please.

Just a few that I can pass along. Unless you buy a sizable, heavy (expensive) safe, bear in mind that you'll need to securely mount to your floor. 2 or 3 bad guys can easily pick up, and abscond with a pretty heavy safe. I have a gun safe that is 435 #'s empty, and in the world of safes, it is pretty light. I used 3 carriage bolts, with nuts inside the safe to mount the safe to the floor, so short of someone using a chain saw to cut and drop it into my basement, I think it's OK. Secondly, where I live, guys are pretty proud of their guns, and some are pretty proud of their fancy gun safes. Can't tell you the number of houses I've been in where an avid hunter plainly displays his gun safe in his living room. Mine is in a closet, in a bedroom, out of sight.
Lastly, rechargeable desiccant dryers. You can never have enough to keep the air in the safe, moisture free.

Good luck with your decision.

well it is the middle of the week, so might take time for people to reply? It is Wednesday afterall, humpday, so many people might be out hum-drumming along until the weekend arrives where they have more time.

i use whatever I find and need at the time. coin tubes, 2x2, whitman folders, paper coin rolls. really depends on the value I palced on the coin in order to just have it sorted.

I have mine in 2x2's. Then all the 2x2's are in album pages. Then all the album pages are in large 3" trapper-keeper style binders.

The majority of my collection is in Dansco Albums (either coin specific or flips in pages), others are in OGP.
