A friend has over 20 yrs of mint and silver proof sets. He wants to sell them Probably from 1990 on. Just trying to get a quick education so I dont look stupid.

My question is.

What years are worth getting?

And I dont know what to pay for them since I have never bought the modern clad proof sets,
or the silver proof sets. or mint sets with the Unc coins.
I would like the price a dealer would pay for the sets because I would sell some.

Thanks for any help

The sets from 1999 and up either silver or clad are quite popular. The 90s sets before that, not so popular.

You can use this as an approximate guide, although I think the values are about 10% on the high side.

Avoid sets with spotty or poorly struck coins.

I add each silver set as they come out, skip the clad.

I would stay away from the clad sets if looking to sell them later on, most seem to depreciate pretty quickly. The silver generally hold value.

As for prices, I think this table is fairly accurate:

I would just stick with the silver sets aswell, and I would start with the 1999 like another user posted
