Hi,
I have at current moment enough invested in gold and silver, but I'm thinking about platinum and palladium. My problem is that selling it in norway is extremely hard, if even possible since there is no one asking for it. (demand)...most collectors stick with gold and silver.

Therefor - if I'm to take the risk, I'm thinking buying 5-10 oz now, and having to keep them for at least 7-8 years...will that mos prop. pay off, or is it a bad idea since selling it off might be hard?
This also applies for platinum.

If your goals with palladium are for investment purpose and you have no market for your investment, then I would say that's a problem.

Nobody knows what the value of metals will be in 5+ years or even 1 year, or if demand in your country will shift. So really, your question is not possible to answer with any kind of confidence.

Platinum and Palladium are much rarer than gold and prices are cheap right now. Why not to diversify your portfolio a little bit for long term investment since you're already have enough gold and silver. Heck, I even have a few oz of Rhodium in my portfolio at the moment while nobody seem to care for them.

I think I have market, its just harder to reach than with gold. Also - if demand is high for palladium, there isn't much problem just travel to UK or something to sell off. I found one here at home but their premium was about 300 USD higher than APMEX for 6 oz.

I've seen palladium maybe once on the coin market. People usually don't carry it as bullion, even the big bullion dealers around here. The one time I wanted to buy some there wasn't any, it's one of those things. Gold is more reliable, in my opinion, and easier to buy and sell than palladium even though it's rarer and has a huge potential to the upside.

Palladium is usually an alternative to nickel when making 14K white gold. Check a precious metals refinery in Europe to see if they carry any .999 palladium because some places in Europe (I think it's only the EU) by law ban nickel jewellery due to allergies.
