This one is in a basement slab. I'll reveal their grade later. How would you grade it? Thanks for looking!

I may be way off but I'm thinking AU-53 The only Shield nickels I have are well circulated so the higher grades are a learning curve for me. -MV

Looks closest the MS60 coin on the PCGS Photo-grade. Sometimes the pictures are put in the wrong spot and that may be a pic of the AU58 coin. Anyhow, somewhere around there I vote. I would call it AU++ maybe MS?

I would say AU-58. I see some wear on the leaves and shield on the Obverse.

My initial impression is AU-58; nice strike, full horizontal shield lines and, IMO, just a touch of wear. (I could see this grading a low MS also though...)

Thanks for the grades. Here is the basement slab grade: I think it is possible that this could get a MS grade from a respectable grading company because of a weak strike determination; however, there are some marks on the reverse that can't be seen in the photos that would probably put it in a Details slab.
