Won a nice 7114 Jefferson nickel Dansco for $2.25 (and 4.99 shipping). Paid that evening and waited. Who can guess what happened next?

It had a full set of nickels in it. Probably not.

The Seller wanted to cancel the transaction because he didn't make anything?

Message: Item was lost, stolen,or misplaced. I am fully refunding your payment Sorry this has happened.
A little part of me wants to jump up and down like a 5 year old, but life's too short to sweat the small stuff.
P.S. I have all the coins to fill the album, but filled with nickels would have made my day!

I'd Neg him. He didn't ship it because it didn't sell for what he thought it was worth.

I've had that happen a LOT, the worst time actually was my 1935 dime in MS condition. You gotta wonder what actually happens to those coins you order and never receive. When selling coins on ebay the seller needs to be open to what ever price the coin sells for, if you win it you win it. I hope you get your money back.

I've sold some stuff for 99 cents and have always shipped it. Yeah, I technically lost money but the goodwill far out weighs the loss.
If you aren't willing to let it go for the starting/winning bid then don't list it.

Can you still leave feedback? Might be worth a 'neutral.'

Yeah, last week I won a German States 1 Kreuzer for $.01, and lo and behold, it was lost when it came time to ship.

Oh yes, I was refunded everything and it seems I can leave feedback. I just feel it was a boldface lie. I understand it didn't bring what he wanted (it was a .99 start), would feel better if he just conveyed that point.

Stuff happens, especially for power sellers with 1000s of items at any one time. Give it a day or six and see if it gets relisted. If so, BOOM. Just my 5c

That stinks, I've lost exactly one coin ever, and it happened to be one I had just sold here on a CCF auction. I felt bad, and promptly refunded the full amount. I'm pretty sure I lost the coin at Starbucks, in the chair I was sitting in, I had taken a small group of coins to list that evening, while visiting with a friend over coffee. I went back and looked under the cushion, but no luck. It was a nice AU toned one too. DOH! It does happen, but I'd keep an eye on the sellers upcoming auctions, to see if it get's relisted any time soon. I don't think negative feedback is warranted but neutral feedback is, in this case, since you got a full refund.
