Hi guys, I don't normally collect bills, but If I get the opportunity I don't turn them down.

I have these bills that are being offered to me, I need to let her know what I would offer.

The $2 bill I believe is not worth much more than face, and I am not really interested.

But the 54's I am pretty sure they are not Devils face, however I am trying to suss out what series they are.

Please forgive the images, I was sent these from the seller.

The serial #s 0459813 and 2637475

I asked about the red letters before these and she said one was S/P the other is S/Z

The signers are J.R. Beattie and L. Rasminsky

From looking on the coinsandcanada site, there is no reference to these 2 prefix's

Am I not looking at the right things? are these bills just not listed on the site?

What do you think the grades are roughly (I know images aren't great) and rough estimate of values?

Any help would be appreciated

I believe Coinsandcanada lumps all the common prefix's under CBN and BABN which I believe are where the note was produced (I forget been awhile since I bought some notes). They only display different prefix's that are less common and have higher value. If you get the Canadian Government Paper Money book those prefix's will be in there (I would check if I had the book on hand, but its at home).

The notes look EF/AU to me with the photos you posted, they are not Devils Face notes.
Canadian Banknotes will be along shortly to give you the other info you want..

Below the signatures, in the black border it will say which company printed the note. Either Canadian Bank Note Company (CBN) or British American Bank Note Company Limited (BABN). Both companies printed notes regularly, so neither one is rarer than the other.

As ShaftA mentioned, these are the more common "Modified" notes. I have included a comparison picture below, to show you the difference between the two.

As for value, these notes are worth $2 each in EF condition, and can often be found for right around face.

Like qbvbsite said, these notes are very common (Total print of 10,000,000 each prefix) and are bunched with other similar common prefixes in the Charlton catalogue.
