How do you tell if its BABN or CBN?
Below the signatures, in the black border it will say which company printed the note. Either Canadian Bank Note Company (CBN) or British American Bank Note Company Limited (BABN). Both companies printed notes regularly, so neither one is rarer than the other.
As ShaftA mentioned, these are the more common "Modified" notes. I have included a comparison picture below, to show you the difference between the two.

As for value, these notes are worth $2 each in EF condition, and can often be found for right around face.

From looking on the coinsandcanada site, there is no reference to these 2 prefix's
Am I not looking at the right things? are these bills just not listed on the site?
Like qbvbsite said, these notes are very common (Total print of 10,000,000 each prefix) and are bunched with other similar common prefixes in the Charlton catalogue.
