Before you get too excited, it could be a solder remnant or glue. Scrape it carefully with your finger and see what happens.

Thanks for the identification as a Cud. It's definitely part of the coin and not glue, etc. That's why I showed the edge photo (not the best picture) to show it's a continuous part of the coin. I usually don't look at the coins too closely, but even I couldn't miss this one. Photos would have been larger, but I used the image optimizer to crop instead of my software.

A full reverse pic is always good to see. You can usually see a corresponding weakness on the opposite side. Nice Cud though.
