99-D Lincoln Rim?

Hi,
Found this coin today, This 99 is smaller than the other 99's I've compared it to. I can feel the differant thickness of the rims of each coin. The coin I'm referring to is close to the size of a dime. Some of the letters of in god we trust are in the rim.
No pics now, My photobucket's down and haven't figured this forum's image upload yet.

Nothing special, just a beat up coin. It may have been stuck inside a clothes dryer for awhile. That often bangs them up like this and begins to effect the edges and the rim like this.

In any case...its damage.

Could be spooned too. Agreed, it's damage, exact cause undeterminable.
