That is one tired pair of dies, especially the reverse die with the clash marks and all the cracks. I'm going to say AU58 just because of the grime still present. Cool example.

Here is the ebay link...and what is pictured is what I received. http://www.ebay.com/itm/30124132685....m1497.l2649

they look close, but I dont think its the same coin. Not that I am complaining, because I think the one I received is a slight bit stronger...but at $30 for an approximate $100 coin...I'm quite pleased. :-)

Perhaps it is the photos, but definition is funky on the reverse from 6-9 o'clock. And also on obverse at 6 o'clock. On obverse perhaps it is ex-jewelry? On reverse, unknown, but I don't like it as it appears unnatural.

How does it appear in hand?

Let me add, and please don't take this negatively, but I think it may be a fake coin.

not the same coin. The one you received is clashed, the auction link coin is not.

@jimbucks, what makes you think this coin is fake? I've never seen a fake with a die clash.

edit to add - I'd take the one you received over the one pictured every time. Something about die clashes...

I will go with AU-58. I think the coin may have just a slight touch of wear and the dirt around the devices kind of suggests that it has been around the block a few times but it is very close to MS and might get graded as such on a good day.
