Not being familiar with Mint error coins, I need some help on this 1902-O Morgan. It's in Choice BU condition, but has this very odd characteristic of "abbreviated" denticles. They appear shorter than normal length and the smooth area between them and the coin's edge is significantly lower than a normal strike. Any help on identifying this error and giving a rarity estimate would be greatly appreciated. PG
My first thought was a collar issue. Have you VAMmed it yet? It looks like a C4/C3 near date. Nothing to retire on in that category, but still a cool reverse for those who appreciate it.
