For those of you that may be new to Barber halves, the 19th century ones in VG or lower grades often come with really bad reverses (design worn into the rim, semi-slick, etc). Here is an example of one with a nice reverse for the grade -- note the design is not worn into the rim and is sharp all around. For those of you putting together a set, be sure to try to find the early dated ones with a nice reverse like this, they can be tougher than you may think.
Here is an example of a Barber with a decent obverse, but the reverse is worn heavily into the rim. This was the filler coin in my set until I was able to find a better example. Hope this helps provide info for Barber half collectors.
