This has to be the worst case of over grading of a bank note I have ever seen on ebay.

This person is listing a 1975 $100 Bank of Canada as AU (almost uncirculated). To me it looks like a F at best. Maybe even VG. How could you call this bill almost uncirculated?

What do you think?

Here are a closer look at the banknote. You don't need the Charlton catalog to figure it out. Any reasonable person will not call this banknote, "almost uncirculated"!

I guess the seller figures that if you word the listing correctly, someone will eventually take the plunge. I agree 100% with you though, this bill is not AU by any means.

At least he posted a good picture in listing..very fine maybe..It can be EF with counting creases and one long center fold.,. But not both counting errors and the fold (Lenghways in center of note)to be UNC. So this one is definetly not UNC.,. A person could argue that it is EF..

It's "almost UNC" just like a woman is almost pregnant....that would be a VF bill at best, not even close to XF

Has seller changed wording? What I see now is that it says "as pictured". Can't see AU anywhere.

Either that or someone emailed him and told him his listing was incorrect.
