Aside from more of the stained glass theme (casa loma)and maybe the last coin of the bird series, can anyone say with any certainty what we can expect from the RCM this coming August...should be another 18 or so coins,no?

some of these pictures are available on ebay, such as the $50 for $50 snowy owl, personally did not find the design to be great, but will only be getting 1 to keep the collection

The photos for some of the rams were posted on the Mint's own website back in 2010.

You can even see next year's coin, the year after and so on until 2021.

(Side note, the coins above might be part of September's release)

not extremely impressive, but I will call it "good".
I like this series more than "100for100".... will take the owl too.

The new tree canopy coin looks amazing, glad to see the series back to its roots. I can't wait to pick one up!

Does it look amazing as the first one?
if yes, there is a good reason to wait for the summer and winter...if they will be minted.

Unfortunately it says "final coin in the series" in the catalogue.

That's bad and not wise from the RCM side.
But - did they mentioned, in which series? (maybe "spring-autumn x2" this is the series)

Just saw the coin on the ebay.
Looks really great. As the third (that I don't have) and as the first one. In the worst case, I will refer to it as 2 coin series (1-st and 4-th), or will keep the 2-nd as a "Winter".

The catalogue came in the mail today.

I like the scarlet tanager bird quarter and also look forward to ending the series at 14 coins.

The 2 oz Training for War coin looks well done and the same image appears on both gold and silver coins. That would make a neat set for $5370.

The eagle looks good but way too many eagles out there already and the bullion version is so much more economical it begs the question why is the proof version necessary.

The Autumn canopy looks very good. It's again a look up the trunk of the tree and like the first in the series, it uses the whole coin to portray the yellow foliage.

The rest are not very good IMO. The stained glass Casa Loma? The sheep, puffins and the snowy owl look cartoonish. I'd bet they look better in hand than they do in the illustrations....but then they would have to.

The Arctic exploration is interesting and if the detail is there, it could be a very nice coin. I haven't bought into the series but this one could hold it's own as a standalone.

Looking forward to receiving the rep e-mail soon.

The Mint also have the snowy owl on their youtube channel.

Maybe it's just me, but the owls legs look like they belong on a rabbit.

Need to think about this.
Specially, it has the same format and the theme as the 2013 Arctic Silver Dollar - they pair well.

Agree about legs of the Snow Owl, looks like taken from other animal. But I actually do not remember, how do they really look like.

Just got the RCM catalog. the Majestic Maple leaves is a subscription of 3 and 5 coins. You get a box for both of these subscription. I like the Autumn Canopy too.. but I gave up on the series when the 2nd one came out. The scarlet tanager bird looks very nice but how do you know it's the end of the series?
