Got it home and found it was a '39 DDO. Has a large N/S die crack on the bust. FSB. For a single digit price... no complaints! Not. a. one! Davelovesdimes New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 08/02/2014 11:58 pm You can find close up photos of the 39 DDO for comparison at varietyvista.com look for the e book on Mercury dimes on their homepage, You will find info on many die varieties. I do not believe you have a doubled die based on your photos. I believe it is what is known as Machine Doubling and is not listable in any file. Machine doubled coins have no real additional value -except on ebay, where the novice will sometimes pay a premium for the lesson. Nice coin anyway. Does anybody else have an opinion?
