Hubby just came in from looking for work, and he gave me this Angel token. He said he found in on the street in a plastic baggie.
Now me being a love of 'angeled' coins I think this was left there for him to find and our luck will change.

It doesn't have any writing on it at all, the token is the same on both sides. It is also a golden color. The scan doesn't do it justice. Looks as if it was freshly minted.

Anyone know where this might have come from?

Don't know where it came from but it is a great story and I hope everything does start changing for you soon. I think it has to be a sign, things just don't happen like that for no reason. That's what I believe anyway.

I believe you're right Irishraider. He has been looking for work for months now with no luck in site. He said for me to keep it since he knows I collect coins. But I told him since he was the one who found it- it's meant for him to carry in his pocket for 'good luck'.

I told him he better not leave the house in the morning without it in his pocket.

Mila, did you play a trick and give him a good luck pocket piece?

If you did or didn't it's always nice to have some good luck with you and I do wish him luck in finding his new job.

Nope, no tricks-- this is a true story. It really happened.
I think somebody up there is finally listening to our prayers.

God Bless,

Here's the token taken with a camera. A little better then the scanned version. Yeah I know a bit too much glare, but....

This tokens are not unknown in Holland, because large quantities are offered at markets for 50 eurocents each (45 us dollarcents). It is thought to believe that it is made somewhere in Hungary.

To me the glare kinda adds to the token. Looks like the angel is coming out of heaven itself. Its a cool token though.

WOW! Thank you valutarick.
Then I guess a tourist visiting NYC must have dropped it without realizing it.
I love it ! However, I can't get a hold of it yet. I told hubby to keep it in his pocket for the time being
as a Good Luck token. I even went further and placed it in a safety flip.
I don't know about grading but it looks uncirculated, nice and shiney!

I found one a couple of years ago, while metal detecting.
Perhaps they are meant to be lost?
(Just kidding).

I've found one of the same tokens, while opening a roll of quarters that I just got from the bank and there it was in the roll, I asked all of my employees if they had ever seen one like this, everyone said they haven't I've searched the Internet and haven't found anything on it, till I found this site. it's kinda weird that you said it brought go luck to your husband and finding a job, because I am about to put my business on the market for sale maybe its a good sign, just wondering if anyone knows where the piece came from.
