I got these medals at a garage sale for $5. I'm curious what they are and if they're worth anything.

What I assume is the obverse reads: "THE PRIDE OF SPAIN HUMBLED BY Ad VERNON / AND Sr CHAl OGLE"

Reverse reads: "THEY TOOK CARTHAGENA APRIL 1747"

Unknown-Medal.--Any-Info-Appreciated.

Thanks for any help!

I quote:
quote:
"The Battle of Cartagena de Indias was the decisive battle of a large-scale amphibious expedition by the forces of Britain under Admiral Edward Vernon against Spain under Admiral Blas de Lezo, taking place at the city of Cartagena de Indias, in present day Colombia, starting in March 1741. It is the most significant battle in the War of Jenkins' Ear, though it is now largely forgotten by the British, blending into the greater conflict of the War of the Austrian Succession. It ended in a major defeat for the British. ..."
