It's a Columbian half dollar. If you didn't know, these were sold at the Chicago World's Columbian Exposition for $1 each. The leftovers were released to circulation (like yours.) These were also minted in 1892.

The coins were originally sold at the fair, but didn't sell all that well (2x face being expensive). Afterwards they were sold for a while and finally dumped into circulation.
