Just found and bought an 2007 Baby Lullabies Silver Loonie and Music CD from Kijiji last night, rushed to pick it up right after work this morning - in hand by 8am - made sure I got there asap before someone else got to it...

Book value (Charlton) on this is like $200 is that a realistic price for this?

Did you mean 2007? :-) The coins have sold between $125 and $250 on ebay in the last couple of months. No sets seem to have sold recently.

Three months ago, I bought the sealed set (the one, that on the picture), for $175 including shipping.

Only because my son was born in 2007...kind of "Silver dollar" coin (in the set) for him. Otherwise - nothing special.

Great news - I felt a little guilty buying it but I guess anybody selling things should do their research before selling.

I didn't barter with his $30 price

Issue price was $29.95. One of the very few NCLTs still normally trading for higher than issue price these days.

You probably should ask lower price.
It sterling silver, so has less metal contain than $30.
And CD....did you really buy it instead of downloading the tracks?

Well...just joking. Interesting case.

UPDATE - Sold the coin Friday, made contact with the young lady and her 2 little kids who sold it to me and found out that she is a single parent had no idea of it's value and needed the money for food. I advised her that once I was sure that my buyer had received the coin, is satisfied with it and won't ask for his money back that I would split the profit with her

Thanks, she was so happy when I emailed her, it brought a smile to my face when I read her email. I raised my 2 girls by myself for almost 25 years and can sympathize with her situation

Finally good story about this "dark horse" RCM product with questionable real value.

Congrats lucv13!

I wanted to let you know I received the coin today and am pleased with everything. Again I am happy to hear there is a story behind this coin with a good ending to boot.
