I´m interested in your Feedback regarding the 1st Exploring Canada Coin - The Voyageurs.

To me the water around the canoe is spectacular - it really looks like liquid if you look at the actual coin and move it a bit.

Sorry Folks who don´t have one at hand - on a picture it will not be 10% of the effect...

It's a great looking coin...vivid realistic relevant design...this coin and this series looks very promising and perhaps being overlooked as there are so many other coins being released each monthly....

The first coin looks great, nice detail but the 2nd coin the water looks like someone stuck a nameplate on the coin - it looks nothing like the artist's rendering

The first coin is great. Unfortunately I have to agree with lucv13 as the second coin was poorly executed. To me it looks like clip art. The horse is floating above the water that the prospector is panning in and it is undersized.

I think the coin is well-designed and nicely executed. I didn't subscribe to the series, but did pick this one up individually.

Here's a link to a post I did about it: https://goccf.com/t/179855

The first coin in the series is too similar to the 1989 $1 proof Mackenzie River Bicentennial coin.

I agree that the new coin is reminiscent of the earlier silver dollar - I mentioned the similarity in a previous post. For me, however, the new design provides an interesting variation - one that I liked enough to purchase.

@commems... I personally am waiting for the mint to issue the Winnipeg bear coin, aka Winnie the Pooh.

@Opera12mi: I wasn't aware such a coin was coming. Hope it works out for you!
