what I think (first impression) top coin : (information from the Krause catalog 1701-1800) India, Mughal empire 1 rupee silver may be Awhad mint (arrow) date off flan, regnal year 29 about 1760-1800AD? legend, (read right to left, boltom to top) 'Auspicious coin of the fighter of infidels, the emperor of Shah Alam'. second coin : no idea, but looks india too corrections welcome

Thank you Petrus. Any more information is certainly welcome. I will check that part of the catalogue.

The second one is an anonymous, overstruck AE Falus, Ahmadshahi (Qandahar) - Afghanistan area. The reverse actually shows a leaf with a fish either side

Date for the Afghan coin would be 19th cent.

I've seen one of these that wasn't overstruck that had a base year of AH1291 - so it's going to be there or thereabouts. It's copper and not really much value - a couple of pounds. One of mine ...

Leaf between two swords. (information from Krause 1801-1900) Indeed looks like KM# 24 falus Ahmadshahi AH1254-1838AD or looks like KM# 92 falus Qandahar AH1295-1878AD (17-22mm) Since your coin is an overstrike, it is difficult to recognize all details. You must also know that none of the hammered coin are the same, because the die is Always bigger than the plate. Good find Bacchus2!
