thx.... I covered the usb microscope lights with plastic safety tips from peg hooks as per tip by John1 just took me a few weeks to find peg hooks...

Try leaving only one bulb uncovered at the 12 o'clock position.If it is still too bright cover that bulb with a piece of tissue.

Or cover it with a plastic grocery bag to remove glare. If the light is hot, drape it a bit from the light source. Nice find. I agree with John1. A single light source is better than two lights for micro photos.
