Does not look like a proof strike to me and I think I see touches of possible reaction with the air (i.e., corrosion). This points to a lower value metal to me. I am going to guess this a larger brass version of the coin. Just a guess though. Any hallmarks stamped into the edge? Report this Post to the Staff
Proof Nut Valued Member Canada 393 Posts	Posted 08/02/2024 5:35 pm Quite some time ago, I was fortunate to find a nice graded example at an area coin show for around $30 which I was quite happy to add to my collection as they are often seen ungraded and not in pristine condition. A must have for those who are into Effigies and Coats of Arms. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/ex...a177485.html There are varieties of on the reverse design and the strange looking design to the right of Victoria indicates that it was a restrike.
