My latest project a crowns of the world mixed with modern bullion set.

This has become quite the big research project for me. The Uk ones were clearly the easiest to find out about but a lot of the other countries and what else to include is ended up being a massive learning experience.

Dansco makes a crowns of the world album that would be perfect it comes with a 36mm, 38mm, 39mm, 40mm and a 42mm page. Clearly you could add other pages.

I was thinking I would also add my world bullion collection to the album and then add crowns kind of a fun cross reference. Like you could do a 1890's Jubilee crown and then have the modern Brittania bullion coin. You could do a 1940's Canadian silver dollar and then have the maple leaf bullion coin. Problem is the dimensions on a lot of the coins for example the New Zealand Crown is 38.61mm so would you try and cram that in the 38mm page or have it loosely sit in the 39mm page. Same say with the Silver Eagle thats 40.66mm do you try and fit it in the 40mm page or do you buy a 41mm page. Anyway know of way to add a little filler so a coin wouldn't slide if you went up to the bigger page.

I mean my list is very rudimentary right now as I don't know enough about crowns yet. I mean what kind of crowns is everyone else doing

Crowns so far that I am thinking of adding to the list
UK
New Zealand
Canadian Dollar
Morgan dollar
Mexico Peso
Japanese Yen
German 5mark Crown
France 5frank piece
Guatemala Peso
Peru Sol

Silver Bullion

Kookaburra
Koala
Lunar
Kangaroo
Brittania
Taku (turtle)
Kiwi
Noahs Ark
Ship
Wild Elephant
Springbrok
Eagle
Suriname
Cheetah
George the Victorious

Nearly every Latin American country had some kind of crown, you might want both a Panamanian balboa and the very first 1904 50 centesimo coin (made to the weight of one American silver dollar because of strangely low silver prices at the time). Same deal with Europe, every country in the Latin Monetary Union issued a 5-whatever crown-sized coin: Romania 5 lei, Switzerland 5 francs, Bulgaria 5 leva, Spain 5 pesetas, Greece 5 drachma, Montenegro (!) 5 perpera, Serbia 5 dinara, you get the idea. There's also the Austrian and Hungarian 5 corona/korona coins, the post-WWI crowns (Latvia 5 lati, although it's .835 and not .900 like the LMU ones) and more, and then the huge genre of all crown-sized coins in general.

A Chinese Junk dollar or a "Fat Man" dollar would be a nice addition.
If you are willing to spend over a grand, a single-year type 1892 Korea 5 Yang measuring 38.6mm would be a nice addition.

I like the Austian 5 corona that will go nice with my philharmonic.

Right now I have the 5 world bullion so I was going to start there tying them to a Crown, a silver canadian dollar for the maple leaf, a morgan for the eagle, a mexican peso for the libertad, that leaves me china as I have the panda and I like the idea of a the fatman dollar. Then add the corona for the Austrian Philharmonic my next two purchases after that was going to be the jubilee and the britannia that gives me 6. Then I was going to look at Australia and pick up a Kookaburra.

I mean the list can go on an on and eventually I'll have to break from tying them together but will be a fun set to start working on and give me a good selection of both crowns of the world and bullion of the world.
