You're missing the fact that that dime, if truly a double-die, is only worth around $10.00. If the pics are not as good as the actual coins then the dime might be worth around $20 if it's closer to being uncirculated.

The seller is hoping he'll catch some hungry fish, I think.

looks like a low grade dime with a bit of a die break. The guy is driving a "YUGO" and thinks it is a "VETTE".

From what I've read a real 1951 double die should have "10 cents" doubled. Heres a nice one certified MS60 for way less. 281398169086

No doubling anywhere on this one. A bit of a clash possibly, but nothing I would bother to sell to anyone for more than $2.00. At the most, I would say there was extra metal near the E.

Here is another "doubled" dime listed on ebay. It looks interesting.

ErrorsRock, and yes they do!, I would not bid on that dime. It is an example of doubling but the price is way too high.

Opinions are like currency, every country has 'em but their value on the world stage is backed by what that country brings to the table.

Please Francium8787, tell me why that particular coin commands a higher premium then about half the coins in my collection. Can you find similar listing that have sold? Do you have old auction catalogs?

Feeding false information to a new member of such ridicules proportions should be a crime. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to resize and upload that dime's picture to this forum and could not figure it out. It doesn't matter, you know what it looks like. It is not worth that much at all.

I might just go post that dime link in the worst coins on ebay thread.

ErrorsRock, in my opinion it is worth $0.10, if you want to shell out that type of money on a dime error there is a respected member of this board selling a much cooler one, here is the link http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Error-Canada...em43c6da9f91

Also, I would recommended Googling "Hans Zoell", and spend some time examining sold (SOLD) listings on ebay and asking questions here. Good luck putting together an error set of coins.

ErrorsRock, listen to the Harmonica, check sold listings on ebay, not worth one tenth of what the seller is asking IMO.
