I agree with John1. Machine damaged.

Tip for the day: Machine damage covers all Machine Doubling events that happened during the striking process. So terms Ejection doubling, stutter strike, die movement and other terms, all fall under the machine damaged term. I used to list them separately, but they are all from the same cause.

Thanks guys! The area above the Y is part of the coin...funny collar piece. I'll tell you it was nice to find an odd strike on a coin without a magnifying glass...think I'll keep looking through my halves and silver dollars...less strain, lol.

Im surprised nobody mentioned the Retained Cud. What you have is a Retained Cud by the Y. A Retained Cud is a die crack the progress into a Cud (exterior die break). I found of few of these while looking for the DDOs for the 71D. I must of went through thousands of Halves and I didn't even find a Doubled die yet in halves.
