The following Roman coins are for sale by a non-collector. I therefore can not get better pictures. They're selling for 20 euros total. What do you think, is this a bargain? Regards, Michael Edited by MichaelS 08/11/2014 05:35 am

They are not in the best condition, but for the price, I would take them.

Thanks Pish! I actually wanted to e-mail you about them first, but figured you'd be lurking here just as likely. :)

They are a bargain. As PP said, not in great condition but great at that price, even if only to sell on in the future.

Thank you! Normally I'd not quickly pay so much for 4 coins, but I'm stoked because they'll be my first silvers and fun to identify.
I'm glad I'm beginning to recognise bargains where I see them.

I can't make out the details on the top right, but the others should be easy to identify. Nobody tell him what they are!!

Condition wise not good at all, I guess if you had to have them the price isn't bad. If it were me however I would spend the 20 euros on one nicer coin.

The coins are good value, however, as Ron has pointed out it is always far better to buy the best you can afford at the time.

Ah yes - but you're collectors. I want to learn cleaning, attributing and photographing and then I'll likely try to sell them off for the same price or slightly more after I've learned everything I can from them.

I'll buy the 2 cent coin if it's from Monaco or the Vatican City!

Well, I bought them last week but I have not received anything, nor does the seller (on a Dutch auction site) respond.
I believe I've been scammed. I guess it was too good to be true for the price. There's always a first I guess.

From within the Netherlands to within the Netherlands, Dutchgulden? But wow - a hundred days! He must've been very happy in the end.
Perhaps I'm rather impatient. But his non-response feels like a bad omen, especially as he was eager to reply before the sale. But who knows!
