Here is a small circular golden disc item with the date 1222 and more Islamic script. I can not determine if this item is a copy or an actual coin. It is non magnetic, about 15 mm, and weighs about 0.43 grams. Pictures attached, help identifying or qualifying what this item is....would be appreciated

This is a brass copy of an Ottoman coin. They were produced in large numbers as a cheap alternative to be used on belly dancers' outfits and some traditional clothing.

If you do a forum search for "imitation Ottoman 78", you'll find a large number of similar items. The "78" is the badly blundered regnal year; the gold coin this design was copied from was dated Accession year 1223, Regnal year 28.

Thank you for input. It did appear too thin and but I paid very little & I thought it might be worth the speculation.
