I often wonder if people know of some of Ebays little hidden features, here are a couple and maybe people will add to this-
1. See what the seller took as an best offer- Click on the sellers items for sale list (not store). Then click completed listing and search again. It will show up as what was really paid. Here is an example with a seller-
http://search-completed.ebay.com/_W...10QQsatitleZbottom of the page you will see best offer and the price paid. This is useful to make sure you do not leave anything on the table.
2. Check to see what a person is bidding on, what their price increments are for bidding .01 over them. Click on advanced search, click "Items by bidder". Click on "Include completed listings" then put the bidders name in there and search.
3. When doing a search for a coin, make sure you search all possible ways. IE: For a 1909-S VDB, search for 1909SVDB, 1909S VDB, 1909 SVDB. When searching for a 1909-S search for 1909S, 1909-S, 09-S. Thanks to bobby for this tip, to search at once for all the possible listing format your search like this (1909SVDB,"1909 S VDB","1909S VDB","1909 SVDB") in the search box!
4. Make sure you click on "See additional Buy it Now Items" at the bottom of a search, you would be surprised how many times sellers list the same items in their stores for cheaper than they sell at auction.
5. Search for all possible names for your coins you are searching for IE- Lincoln Cents, Cents, penny, pennies, wheats, cent try all of them, I search errors a lot and find this really helps. I also only search for the year I am looking for when searching errors.
6. Do not just look in the sub category IE: For a 1909 wheat, do not look just in the 1909-1919 sub category, look in the whole catergory. Look in all
US coins. I have seen some stuff that was not even close to where it should be listed.
If I think of more I will list add to the list. Anyways I hope this helps!
