Coin Developed Ugly Spots In PCGS Holder Recently

jimbucks Pillar of the Community United States 4692 Posts	Posted 08/13/2014 8:42 pm WOW. This one developed horrible spots in just in the last few weeks. I presume I should return to PCGS, or should I contact CAC and sell to them? It went from some light hardly visible toning in the areas affected, to now what is ugly black splotches -- looks worse than my picture. BEFORE NOW What happened? Report this Post to the Staff

Returning it to PCGS will cost you a regrade fee and an eventual downgrade... NGC (NCS) conservation has a chance of getting the coin back to its original appearance. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 08/14/2014 10:42 am PCGS may or may not do anything about it. Their guarantee does not cover coins that turn in the holder after slabbing. neither does NGC's. Report this Post to the Staff
