Hey guys, I got my ANA Privy SML in the mail today and when I looked at the coin for the first time I noticed two white circles above the "OZ" and "A" on the reverse. Are these the infamous milk spots that are common on SMLs? Or is this an error of some sort? Would it be possible to remove them just by using a lens cloth? Thanks!

Are you sure they are not on the coin holder? Milk spots can not be removed without damaging the coin.

When you will see one of them, you will immediately understand, that this is "milk spot"

But these looks like not less defective.

I would advice to replace the coin. Send it back to RCM (although I didn't see this defect previously, and you might decide to keep it as it is).

No they do not look like milk spots, but I'd have to say I've never seen something like that before, the circle above the O looks like it would fit over the O. I would not clean it with anything. The RCM has a great return policy so I'd go that route if your not happy with the coin.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Yeah the circles are definitely on the coin. I think it may have been formed naturally as the coin was being made but I'm not entirely sure. I'm going to keep it for now until I see another coin come up with the same spots. If not, then I guess I've got a pretty unique coin!

weird.. from the pciture, it doesn't look like milk spots. In any case, I would return that and get a new one.
