Have been using this as a value guide for a while now, it seems mostly accurate but I have started to notice a few discrepancies - how accurate would you rate it? http://www.(131231) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed / Thanks, Matt

I looked for pricings for Romania, since that's where I'm most comfortable. The prices seem about OK.Aren't they taken from the Krause catalog? Anyway the catalog is not complete, and the main problem I see is that there are no prices given for different years of the same type of coin. For example, for the 1/2/5/10 pfennig coins minted after 1950, the price varies a lot.Anyway, the author of the site gives a warning about this at the bottom of the page, so i'd say that this list is a good one for what it's supposed to be: a list of the most common dates of every (almost) type of coin.

"I looked for pricings for Romania, since that's where I'm most comfortable. The prices seem about OK.Aren't they taken from the Krause catalog?" I don't really know! If they were wouldn't they be upper market prices? These are the lowest regular market prices, or so it says... -of course the catalogue would be incomplete as this would probably anger the Krause people.. Yes, I too have noticed a lack of diferentiation but I've also noticed a few discrepancies based upon ebay values.. At least you seem to verify it is good for most of the coins it lists..

Don also has a few error on his site, so take that into consideration. I know I emailed him once about a KM# he had that was for a silver commemorative, but his description and picture were for the circulating coin. He never did get around to fixing it. There are at least 2 errors alone on the Canadian part of his site that I have emailed him about.

I Love Don's site. It was the only reference I ever had before I found CCF. There are errors throughout with ranges of dates a few KM's and prices since some of the info is a few years old. The thing I mainly used it for in the past was a quick photo reference for a coin I wasn't sure about.

It's a very good site. I appreciate the amount of work that went into it and use it fairly often.

Don has placed a note saying "*These are most common date values based on various 2005 references and personal opinion. Specific date coins may be worth much more. For specific coin values, consult the Standard Catalog of World Coins"
So I think values might change since the last 2 years. Also values depend on market demand, may be that's why its not so accurate.
But still there's a lot of a hard done to be appreciated. Besides CCF and Krause catalogue 2006, I find this site is very beneficial as a photo reference
