So I posted this dime close to a year ago but I had lousy photography skills back then. I want a second and final opinion because I'm selling it on ebay right now, unfortunately, to help pay for a trip I'm taking in two weeks and I'm still not very good at grading.
Thanks

I can't decide

First impression is AU-something. I could be way off so I'm curious what others have to say.

AU here too.

Also, that toning makes it look like the barber head is floating through a galaxy/space, and I love it.

Only thing I see being major are the slight wear marks on the reverse on some of the leaves and stalks.

AU details, damaged.

Heavy, dark, terminal-state toning that would be considered env damage by a TPG.

That's awesome, looking at it now I definitely see deep space in the toning. Looks even better to me now
Man it's going to be a bummer when or if this one goes, I think I subconsciously listed the starting bid a bit too high in hopes it won't sell or sell for a price I'll actually be okay with.

And that's not damage at the 10:00, it just didn't tone there

It's damaged because of the toning. It's so dark, that I'll bet it's considered environmental damage. Still a nice details coin, but I'll show myself the door if it ever ends up in a problem-free PCGS or NGC slab.

I would not consider the toning damaged at all. I give it an AU.

its artificially toned by the looks of it. its a details grade and not worth much more than $15 on a good day at auction or buy it now.

I agree with AU details, toning looks a bit strange. Although looking at some slabbed barbers on ebay, some might have similar dark toning. Hard to judge without more pics, lighting may be affecting it.

I got this in a coin lot which was from someone's old collection. It was in a yellowed 2x2 and had rusted staples. I really don't think it's artificial toning.

A coin with details like that should have some luster remaining. No luster = terminal toning = details grade.

LOL I just went looking for it on ebay, thinking I'd put like, a $20 bid in and submit it if I won, just to prove my point... and found it. $205 opening bid? Okay...

I could buy this one for less!

Actually it does have some luster underneath the toning, I just wasn't able to capture it on my camera

The black areas have no luster, that is terminal toning. Dipping this coin would reveal damaged surfaces. The coin is worth maybe 1/10th of your opening bid. A couple ebay bidiots might get you to $50.

I don't mean to offend, but you need to get your head out of the clouds and realize what this coin is actually worth. Even a problem-free AU58 is worth less than $100. If you really wanted to sell it and really wanted to know what it's worth, you'd list at 99 cents and let 'er rip.

I don't think this is artificially toned. You see similar toning on higher grade coins that have been stored in a grimey environment for a long time.
I'd say AU50 and I like it because of the originality

When it comes to a coin like this who cares what a TPG would say, you either like this look or you don't.

Whether it has articial, terminal toning or not, your price is way off.
