I got a Greaser and mine has weird "ripple"-like movements in the metal with the date and lettering being in such an off location. Your might be wear? imo

I see wear coupled with a weak strike.

Just thinking. Obverse die wear, with reverse combination die wear and Struck Through Grease helped influenced a weak strike. Thanks, Doug.
