I've gone through my sister's coin jar a couple of times. I found a few things from the 1940's and a Magician's coin. I think it's a lot of fun.

that is what I suggest to everyone. Ask friends, neighbors, relatives for any old jars, cans, boxes of coins.

That's awesome, iv done that as well and it pays off too. Just carl, what if you have 2 friends and have bad relations with your neighbors.

EDIT: 1972 S Memorial. I just love those S minted coins

Yes that does happen. However, you can always ask those you do know to ask others. I've done that and it works.
