Nothing special about this coin other than it looks like it was shot through. The hole is the exact size for a .22 Calibre round. Anyone else have any plugged coins?

What kind of material were bullets made of back in those times? That's one clean hole!

Mostly lead, later on copper jacketed. This was probably done long after the date on the coin.
