Hello!

Forgive me if I do anything wrong here. This is my first post :)
I am weeks into coin collecting and studying varieties and errors. When I think I have found something I find myself repeating "PMD,PMD" like a mantra or something. That is what it usually turns out to be.

Anyway,

I found this 2007 Lincoln Cent with what I initially thought was a damaged rim. When I look at it closely, I see what appears to be possible letters that were punched into the rim. I am included pictures showing the main cluster, as well as some marking on the rim to the right of Lincoln's head. The obverse shows a widened rim opposite the location of the possible lettering. I tried to take the best pictures I could. Any help would be appreciated.

When just one area is affected, a pair of coins was probably placed between to pieces of wood and hit with a hammer leaving an imprint of the higher devices on the other coins higher devices. (That is what we see on your coin.)

Sometimes three coins are stacked together and squeezed in a vise and a larger design transfer happens:

But this is just damage to the coin and ruins collectable value. Just a coin to be spent.
