Saw this Trade dollar and at first thought the grading comments said "Pretty Coin". But then I looked closer at the comments and then the coin. What in the world is this thing:

Looks like somebody altered the coin "love token" style to make it look like a nude woman taking a dump. It may or may not be "rare" as the auction claims, but I can't imagine it having much value. I could be wrong, of course...

Having been in Numismatics for well over 30 years now, this is the first time I've heard this term.

I've seen those before on ebay, always in ICG slabs. Could be the same coin, though.

Well that's different. Not quite sure what to make out of it though. I guess somne individuals just have way too much time on their hands.

I have seen them before- they were called potty dollars. Kinda cool in a vulgar way.

I've seen them on all denominations of Seated coins and Trade dollars.Oddly, I have not seen them done to British seated Britannia coins, other than a couple of modern carvings.Personally, I think that one is priced about 3 times what it is worth.

These are cool, I had one a couple years back, only trade I ever owned. It was pretty nice, I sold it for $175 IIRC.

I think it's funny when old ladies blame video games and the internet (or cartoons) for the moral decay of society. It is quite evident men were juvenile and troubled long before the "media".

The altering of "LIBERTY" to "DIRTY" was a nice touch.
