What a beautiful coin. I would buy this over a Panda all day long. Something else to add to the wish list.

That's a very nice design. I hope my bullion dealer ends up with some of those at some point.

Yes, same as 2014, I also have a few, they are nice and not too big of a premium at least not on the 2014

So why is it worth it, ASEnut? Don't get me wrong -- I LOVE ASEs and have many but the premiums they command are a little tough to swallow when compared to other trusted instruments such as Maples and Phils.
I would certainly pay a premium for 1 to 5 of the Somalis simply because I very much appreciate the design. But what makes it worth it otherwise, particularly from a bullion/investment perspective?
I'm still gonna get a few. Just want your opinion. :)

Ohhh I take back what I said about premiums not being high on them, I sold 2 about 1 month ago, a colored one for $30 and a regular 2014 for $24, seems like a regular is up near $30 now

I just hope they knock off all the colored coins, it ended up starting a rampage in all sorts of colored coins lol.
I love colored elephants but it got wayyy to much for me with all the other type, I didnt even bother to buy them except for the Day/Night set.
I hope they decide some day to do proof elephant gold coins, low mintage, that would be sweeet.

Hey @AgAuNEWS,,, assuming this is who I think it is, I love your web site, I would LOVE to contribute regularly to it... and btw your site is just so beautiful, I check it out all the time, I wish you the BEST! Anyways, as silver prices drop, I am SO SO SO SO TEMPTED to buy a kilo elephant coin.... that would make my day lol The design of a beautiful elephant on such a big coin must be just STUNNING! here's hoping silver gets crushed soon enough.. as I have been waiting patiently.....

In my opinion, this is disadvantage of the series, when annual design doesn't change... The coins do not cost much, but looks like I will not buy the new ones.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong pictures, but it doesn't look just like the 2014 to me. It looks like they have flipped the picture for the 2015. Like a reversed negative on a photograph. I know it's not as good as a completely new design, but it seems to indicate that they aren't just going the britannia route and giving up new designs in favor of the same one every year.
