Rest in Peace

As a member of another coin forum, I am in a definite minority when it comes to the proposed Presidential coin series. I will likely be in a minority here as well.

I love the idea.

Probably because of 35 years as a history teacher, and teaching a special class entitled "Presidents and Politics" for better than 20 years.

I sincerely hope the legislation passes.

LOL Gary, your not alone. I also like the idea of the President dollars.

And after reading a bit about the presidents wives, I like that idea of the proposed series too. Now that is being in a minority. LOL

Lucky for me, I have no influence on the decision and therefore don't get the blame whichever way it goes.

Having said that, I think the presidents should not be on the normal coinage, that should be left for Liberty. But on a series of Commemerative coins..Why not, variety is the spice of life.

How about we put the Prime Ministers and their wifes on Coins?
I could just see Malcom & Mrs. Frazer now.
Wow a commemorative John Howard!

Now that is just being Nasty. OK I see your point. It would make for some Butt Ugly coins, Honoring some of the most corrupt people who have ever walked the earth. Still, a nice was to learn history. And you could count that the coins with recent Politicians to be used as target pratice. LOL.
